Principal Robotics Engineer.
Andrew has a lifelong passion for robotics that started early with Legos and US FIRST competitions through to his Bachelors degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois and a Masters degree in Robotics Systems Development from Carnegie Mellon University. He brings to the team his background in the entire software life cycle as a developer and a team leader in a variety of robotics industries. Andrew's past work experience includes robotics software for NASA and John Deere, with the previous 6 years before Tortuga with Torc Robotics working on autonomous vehicles for both on and off road applications.
Andrew is also a half decent home chef and brewer, mediocre pub trivia teammate, and hockey fan. When not in the office, he is usually caving, climbing, skiing, or backpacking… really just anything outside.
