Director of Mechanical Engineering.
Chris is an experienced Engineering and Operations leader with much of his career focused around creating electro-mechanical products that are controlled with firmware. He has led or been an individual contributor on the creation of hundreds of products across a wide range of industries including LED Lighting and controls, high tech automation, military robotics, consumer electronics and medical devices. He has had active roles in design, manufacturing, sustaining, quality and product test. This broad spectrum of industry has provided a tremendous insight into creatively solving problems with quite different constraints while the different roles have provided wisdom into how designs can positively or negatively affect everything down stream.
Joining the Tortuga AgTech team was an easy decision for Chris as it was harvesting wheat from the seat of a John Deere combine as a teenager that first propelled his interest in Mechanical Engineering.
Chris received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Computer Science from the Colorado School of Mines.
